Regular Board Meeting

Present: Melba Aguillard, Huey Cash, Jeffrey Hanks, Timmy Pourciau, and Steve Stelly

Meeting brought to order at 6:00pm.

Huey led prayer and Timmy led pledge.

Officer Elections: A motion was made by Jeffrey 2nd by Melba to nominate Steve for President. No other nominations. Steve is Chairman. Nominations for Vice Chairman: Huey made by Jeffrey 2nd by Timmy. Jeffrey: Timmy, Jeffrey pulled out. Huey is vice chairman.

A motion was made by Melba 2nd by Timmy to accept minutes of January 11, 2020 as written. Discussion was held. Motion carried.

No public comments.

A motion was made to accept Secretary/treasury report by Jeffrey 2nd by Melba. Motion carried.

No Chief's report.

Old Business:

Background Checks: Discussion held. Will need to get ss numbers and dl for each of the volunteers and paid firemen.

Alma Station: Getting permits from parish to put concrete and building.

Missing/Broken Equipment: Discussion held. No reports have been received from Chief, or Assistant Chief.

Resolution approving Bylaws: Discussion held. A motion to accept newly revised/ adopted bylaws for PCFD#3 by Huey, 2nd by Melba. Motion carried.

Resolution of Chief's Duties and Responsibilities: Discussion held. A motion to change duties to FF1 and live in Parish by Huey, 2nd by Timmy. Roll call vote: YES. Huey: NO. Melba, Jeffrey, Timmy. Motion not passed. A motion to change FF1 and live within 10 miles outside parish requirements was made by Jeffrey 2nd by Melba. Roll Call Vote: YES: Melba, Jeffrey, Timmy. NO: Huey. Motion carried.

Station 34 bathrooms: Needs Formica/Plexiglass to repair walls in bathrooms.

New Business:

Communications: Discussion held. Jeffrey discussed getting intercom system at False River Station and Ventress Station. Jeffrey will get prices for systems.

Executive Session: A motion was made to enter into executive session at 6:40pm to discuss applications was made by Jeffrey 2nd by Timmy. Motion carried unanimously. A motion to exit out of executive session at 7:05pm was made by Jeffrey 2nd by Melba. Motion carried unanimously. Interviews for Chief's position will be held on February 10, 2021 at 6pm.

Executive Session: Interviewing Fire Chief Applications. Decision was made to have another meeting next day to finalize application process.
